Your brighter future starts NOW
Welcome
Welcome to One Voice (Cornwall) - a charity dedicated to making a positive impact on mental health through the power of music and community.
Our journey began in October 2023 with the incredible success of Shower to Stage, an event that not only raised funds for mental health charities in Cornwall but also sparked a remarkable transformation within our choir members.
The experience of singing in harmony proved to be a powerful catalyst for improving mental well-being, with countless testimonials attesting to its life-changing effects.
Alarming statistics reveal very high rates of self-harm and suicide in Cornwall. Every four days, a life is lost to suicide in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, a trend that continues to rise.
We operate several inclusive choirs in Cornwall already, and aim to offer more, providing a welcoming space for individuals to come together and experience the therapeutic benefits of music. We will continue to raise funds to support those affected by mental health challenges, through the provision of grants that facilitate access to a range of therapies for residents of Cornwall.
Join us in our mission to create a harmonious community where mental well-being is nurtured and supported.
Together, we can make a difference, one voice at a time.

What will you do as a charity and how will you help people with their mental health?
Our mission is driven by the belief in the power of music and social interaction to alleviate social anxiety and mental health issues.
Here’s how we aim to fulfil our objectives:
1. Singing activities and Choir Formation
We provide opportunities for individuals suffering from social anxiety and mental health issues to participate in singing activities. Throughout the formation of choirs and the presentation of public concerts, we create a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals can engage with music as a means of expression and connection.
2. Grants for Access to Therapy
Recognising the importance of professional therapy in mental health treatment, we offer grants to individuals in need, enabling them to access therapy services. These grants ensure that financial constraints do not hinder anyone from receiving the support they require for their mental well-being.
Our approach is guided by our core values of equality and diversity, ensuring that our services are accessible to all members of the community. We prioritise treating people with dignity and respect, whilst actively challenging inequalities and embracing diverse perspectives.
At One Voice (Cornwall), our vision is to build an inclusive charity where everyone is empowered to reach their full potential. We strive to anticipate and address the diverse needs and circumstances of individuals, fostering a welcoming environment where all members can thrive. Through our collective efforts, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by mental health challenges, promoting healing, connection, and resilience within our communities.
We want to help more people in Cornwall with their mental health. We understand that there is no ‘one size fits all’ and therefore allow a more flexible approach to specifically catch people at the earliest stages. With a vast range of remedies from the traditional talking therapies through to cold water swimming or walking to meet people, talking to a business coach if your worries stem from work, or just talking about what is making you sad from a bereavement to a break up.
