When we started on this journey last year with the first Shower to Stage choir event, we could not have anticipated the impact this would have on people. The Shower to Stage Choir and event changed lives more than we could have ever imagined and that is why we decided to create One Voice.
Cornwall has higher than average rates of people who self-harm and one of the highest suicide rates in the country.
The latest data* from 2022, shows that 1 person dies of suicide every four days in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This has increased by 18% since 2021.

What will you do as a charity and how will you help people with their mental health?
We are passionate about helping more people in Cornwall with their mental health, not just by funding other opportunities but by creating our own mental health support.
Bringing you
We want to help more people in Cornwall with their mental health. We understand that there is no ‘one size fits all’ and therefore allow a more flexible approach to specifically catch people at the earliest stages. With a vast range of remedies from the traditional talking therapies through to cold water swimming or walking to meet people, talking to a business coach if your worries stem from work, or just talking about what is making you sad from a bereavement to a break up.
